A&A Fratelli Parodi, in the wake of its commitment to environmental issues and with its value proposition to the market by offering sustainable, environmental friendly solutions with a reduced impact in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, has developed a second innovative project to reduce CO2 emissions in the metalworking industrial sector by using an alternative vegetable product to the mineral-based oils, guaranteeing comparable or superior performances.

https://www.eco2care.org/The Company’s objective is to encourage the metalworking sector to undergo substantial change, making a concrete contribution to the Net Zero 2050 objectives set by the European Union With this project, the Company pursues the primary objective of promoting the circularity of internal production processes, thus avoiding impacts related to waste disposal and those that would be generated to produce virgin raw materials.

Valore CO2 srl has been supported A&A Fratelli Parodi S.p.A. throughout the whole project’s sustainability process, which has been validated from RINA Service S.p.A. on 02/22/2023.

The project has been registered on the eCO2care.org public register.

The project registered with Verra (Id 296) involves installation of two wind turbines, each 1.25 MW, located in the Dhule area, Maharashtra (India). The project converts wind energy into electricity, generating approximately 3,445 MWh during the ten-year accreditation period. The technical partner Apio has acquired carbon credits for subsequent tokenisation on the Valore CO2 platform.

Valore CO2 has supported the project of the Italian municipality of Terre Roveresche (published in the eCO2care register), acquiring 2000 carbon credits: the municipality of Terre Roveresche, pioneering this kind of initiative in Italy, has implemented a methodology across its territory to determine the environmental impact of each user account in terms of CO2 produced through management of urban waste.

A&A Fratelli Parodi S.p.A. is the sole only company in the oleochemicals sector to have developed a VER project involving replacement on the market of current biolubricants produced from raw materials of direct agricultural origin with biolubricants derived from plant residues generated by internal processing.
